About · NÖR Studios

A photo studio, made for more than photographs.

NÖR started as a working studio — Profoto strobes, a wet darkroom, a twelve-foot cyc, and a slow schedule of editorial and portrait work. It was quiet on purpose. The kind of room where a print gets made, not just a file.

The nights changed that. Friends started running sound through the space after shoots wrapped. Projectors got aimed at the cyc. A modular rig showed up and never quite left. What began as a place to make images became a place to make evenings — the same room, with the lights turned down and the low end turned up.

Today NÖR is both. By day it's still a studio — bookable, equipped, and run by people who care about the craft. By night it hosts limited-capacity shows, listening sessions, film screenings, and installations built specifically for the room. Every event is small on purpose. Every night is documented.

We're building it out slowly. Resident collectives, guest programmers, teachers, and partners all have a place here. If that sounds like you, get in touch — the door's usually open.
